Goddess News

Welcome to Goddess News spiritual blog. This space is devoted to articles on all things spiritual (but not religious). Goddess News does not subscribe to any religion but promotes the expansion and exploration of both human and divine qualities within us. Goddess News is committed to free discussion on cutting-edge,  at times controversial, topics related to the divine feminine, spirituality and sexuality, the re-interpretation of ancient sacred texts to make them relevant to modern persons, spiritual practice, eco-spirituality, spiritual travel, Tantra, alternative interpretations of Mary Magdalene (my personal obsession), the Gnostic Gospels and much more.

Your comments and contribution in the form of comments and art are much appreciated. Sending Love, Dr Joanna Kujawa, Spiritual Detective.

  3. Tim Maloney says:

Hi All you lovely gods and goddesses ~ looking forward to read and share. I have a monk who knows everything. He answers my questions only. He said one time that humanity will shift back to the original mother goddess worship after the breakdown of western religions.

    • Admin says:

Yes we need to bring the balance back to our perception of the universal order. I would like, all of us, to explore different faces of the goddess (mother is one of them) and the various archetypes in which she manifests at the depths of our being. Thank you for signing up xxx

Thank you for the invitation to be part of this community. I hope my teaching of different world faiths and philosophies with young people will continue to be inspired by my own explorations and spiritual learnings, helped by other wisdom seekers as on your site and in your writings. Had a great discussion on sexism in sacred texts with my Year 11s yesterday. After the class, an earnest young woman aged 17 stayed behind to tell me her story. She has a great attraction for indigenous spiritualities as her mother is a Koori woman, though there are some disconnects there. The stories this young woman shared were of both struggle and positive spiritual understandings. She wonders is it possible for her to have a belief system that encompasses the best of all belief systems but privileging her own experience and learnings in Christianity and indigenous spiritualities. I was in awe of her inner beauty, the seriousness of her quest and her openness to the spirit moving within her. I tried to be as encouraging as I could.

Julie, Welcome – very happy to have you here and, eventually, we will also write on indigenous spirituality. Our goals are the same to find unity, beauty and nourishment in spirituality which was unnecessarily divided into separate faiths. I believe, that spirituality is one and diverse. It is in the diversity that the beauty lies and in oneness the unity. I also love story- telling as I am a writer and would love to explore more. I am open for suggestions and would like to treat this space as a community. It is my intention to gradually increase inter-connection by creating webinars for us to be able to speak with each other :). Once again a big welcome and please feel free to comment on anything and suggest anything. Sending Love, Joanna

I love this page so much. Being a man and going through middle age crisis I have turned to Sophia and she has helped me with open arms. Of course this is all heretical being that I was brought up Roman Catholic and suffered the lies. I now turn to the sacred feminine archetype and find some peace. Thank you Joanna for being a cool anima figure and having this site!

    • Admin says:

Thank you G! Great to have you here. I know exactly what you mean and the Goddess news is intended as a community of seekers and am open to suggestions for the content and art. It is my intention to gradually increase inter-connection by creating webinars for us to be able to speak with each other :). Once again a big welcome and please participate by commenting – it is a space for seekers. Sending Love, Joanna

  8. G.regory says:

Thank Joanna! One gets the feeling of being sought rather than seeking sometimes. Suppose that’s a good thing.

  9. Great work, love your writing style and content. Look forward to delving deeper xxx

  10. Katarzyna says:

Thank you Joanna for a new piece of writing. Wonderful. After your lecture in Sydney on Jung’s Sermons I read all your great writings and ordered all mentioned gospels (Philip, MM and Thomas). Just reading them. Will you come as a guest lecturer to Sydney soon?
Kind regards and thank you for sharing the great concepts
    Katarzyna

    • Admin says:

Thank You Katarzyna – This means a lot. I am glad that you are enjoying the blog :). And of course, I am open to any suggestions. Reading of the three’ gnostic’ gospels can be sometimes a challenging but ultimately rewarding and nourishing experience :). As for your question about the new talks, I would love to come and do more talks. Indeed, I had a talk booked in Sydney in another organisation for November which I cancelled. I decided to focus on writing until the end of the year as apart from the blog, I am also re-visioning my novel (on Tantra and the search for the goddess) and co-authoring an academic journal on spiritual travel – so as you see, a lot to finalise till the end of the year:). But after that I am looking forward to new talks. Your friendship is important and appreciated :). Thank you :).

  11. Sumitra Bateman says:

Another beautifully written piece by you. Your passion is wonderful & I love that you share it so honestly

    • Admin says:

Thank you Sumitra – it is so good to hear your feedback as I was very self-conscious sharing such a personal reflection and letting the passion out:). Let’s catch up soon xxx

  12. Jane says:

Your messages are perfectly timed Goddess. We get so caught up in the having & cease being.

    • Admin says:

Jane, Thank you! Yes, it is a constant balancing act is it not? But it is so important to regularly remind ourselves about the true reason for our lives – which is in being :). Let’s stay in touch, Goddess 🙂
